On Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, in the Great Hall of Ceremonies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with the participation of representatives of the government and the academic community, the opening event of the "Funding of the Operation of Structures & Technology Transfer Actions at NKUA” Project was completed, with the funding of EYD EPANEK.
The Laboratory of Health Economics & Management (LabHEM) of UniPi was awarded the Silver Medal for its Research & Academic Work, as the second Leading Research Institute in Greece at the Healthcare Business Awards 2021 in the category of Research Project in Universities / Educational Institutions / Research Centers.

The study "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators" by Professor John Ioannidis and his team at Stanford University USA, includes eight faculty professors from the University of Piraeus. This study lists the world's leading scientists based on the impact of their published work throughout their careers and includes the top 100,000 scientists worldwide from all scientific subjects, as well as 2% of the top scientists in their main subfield discipline.
