The University of Piraeus Volunteer Team “Kerykes” and the Volunteer Action Team “Ela ki Esi!” collaborated to carry out the event, aiming to create an environment of joy, recreation, and emotional empowerment for children facing the difficult circumstance of being away from their families under prosecutorial order.

A new chapter of institutional cooperation with a strong social and human-centred dimension was inaugurated by the Hellenic Parliament and the University of Piraeus through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, and the Rector of the University of Piraeus, Professor Michail Sfakianakis.

In an atmosphere of deep emotion and pride, the “Academic Excellence Awards” Ceremony was held on Wednesday, 12 February 2026, at the Amphitheatre of the University of Piraeus. Organized for the third consecutive year, the event has now been firmly established as an institutional tradition, highlighting the University’s commitment to promoting academic excellence.

In an atmosphere of emotion and national pride, the Hellenic Parliament honoured the founding members and executives of the Archimedean Academy of Miami, Florida in a ceremonial event held in the Senate Hall, on the first celebration of World Greek Language Day.

The University of Piraeus and Piraeus Bank have taken an important step toward modern, technologically enhanced education with the inauguration of the “Bloomberg Lab powered by Piraeus.”

For the Christmas holidays, the University of Piraeus, in cooperation with its volunteer group “Kerykes,” implemented a comprehensive social solidarity initiative, reaffirming in practice its strong sense of social responsibility and its enduring connection with the local and wider community.

The University of Piraeus, as part of the commemorative events for the National Anniversary of October 28, 1940, held a celebration ceremony on Monday, October 27, 2025, in the “Athanasios Kanellopoulos” Auditorium.
