The University was represented by the Rector Professor Angelos Kotios and the Peace and Friendship Stadium by its President Mrs. Christina Tsiligiri. The working meeting was attended by Mr. Panagiotis Koutsoyiannis, General Coordinator Director of S.E.F., Mr. Dimitrios Bardakas Deputy Director of S.E.F., Mr. Panagiotis Xenos, Assistant Professor of the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science and Mr. Dimitrios Mathios, President of the Attica-Piraeus Industries Association.
The Rector Professor Angelos Kotios stated "this memorandum implements another opening of the University to society and especially to the world of Piraeus for whom SEF is an emblem of extroversion. The joint use of the capabilities of the two entities will contribute the most to our development and evolution and will be to the benefit of the city that is our base."

Ms. Christina Tsiligiri emphasized in the context of the meeting that "the cooperation between the University and the Stadium of Peace and Friendship can maximize the overall productivity of the two institutions and have multiplier benefits both for the institutions themselves and for the wider region of Piraeus. This memorandum is the product of a systematic preparation and is the beginning of a series of joint actions that will take place in the next period of time, such as the exchange of know-how, building infrastructure and training services. Also, the University of Piraeus will contribute as a scientific partner of the Stadium of Peace and Friendship in matters of sports and conference tourism.

The partnership between the University of Piraeus and the Stadium of Peace and Friendship will create a modern environment corresponding to European and American University facilities (University Campus), combining academic studies, sports and other activities, giving multiplying benefits to the socio-economic development of the Piraeus area .”
