The Rector of UniPi, Professor Angelos Kotios and the President of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen Mr. Giannis Chatzitheodosiou, accompanied by Vice-President-A Nikolaos Grentzelos, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. The purpose of the Memorandum is to promote joint actions on upgrading the knowledge and skills of employees and professionals.
The University of Piraeus with its extroverted orientation in the dissemination of knowledge and the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, which attaches special importance to education and has a permanent connection to the real world economy, will promote, among others, the organization of scientific and research activities, the promotion of sustainable employment and the design or creation of co-financed Programs.

Professor Angelos Kotios, stated “This Memorandum is the natural consequence between a University that seeks to transmit knowledge and to be a key component of Greek society in the service of the common interest with the body that serves the production and Greek entrepreneurship. The ambitious cooperation that has the future in focus, comes at a time of great crisis and workplace transformation not only in Greece but in the whole world. Our hopes are that investing in knowledge and utilizing applied research will become a long-term investment.
The President of E.E.A. Giannis Chatzitheodosiou noted, “It is an honor to sign a Memorandum with the University of Piraeus, which is known for cultivating a high level of education. I would like to thank the Rector for this initiative and I believe that our partnership will have multiple benefits.
