The Rector of the University of Piraeus, Professor Angelos Kotios, was awarded at a special event held in the hall of the Hellenic Institute of Welding, in Elefsina, by the Business Association of Western Attica.

bep2The President Andrianos Michalaros awarded the Rector Angelos Kotios, as a small token of recognition of his contribution to the development upgrade of the region, as evidenced by his study - Application Prospects in Western Attica - within the framework of Integrated Spatial Investments, in the Region of Attica for the Programming Period 2014-2020 through which it is sought to deal with pressing economic, social, demographic, spatial and environmental issues but also to create favorable conditions that will support its utilization as a Development pole of national and metropolitan scope in accordance with the directions of the new Athens Regulatory Plan.
bep3The Rector of the University of Piraeus, Mr. Angelos Kotios, in his brief introduction, emphasized that the saying "Always Excel" is the daily practice for the University based in Piraeus, one of the most important ports in Europe and perhaps the largest in the Mediterranean. "So in this place, we cannot help but work with a sense of offer and priority for businesses that want to excel, the majority of which are located in Western Attica, where an extremely high percentage of the country's Gross National Product is produced. This is our mission: To be on your side," he concluded.
