A collaboration with the aim of jointly exploiting their potential was announced by ALD Automotive|LeasePlan, a leading provider of sustainable mobility in Greece, and the University of Piraeus, through the Master's Program "Economics and Business Strategy" (PMS-OES) and the Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation Lab (iLEADS Lab) of the Department of Economics of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies.
In this context, the two parties intend to jointly proceed with actions that strengthen the link between education and the qualifications required in the workplace, confirming their common commitment to the creation of new knowledge and the development of skills.
The cooperation agreement between the two organizations provides for a series of educational programs, seminars, lectures and student internships. In particular, ALD Automotive|LeasePlan will recruit PMS-OES graduates to intern at the company, to develop and implement their business ideas at a professional level. At the same time, ALD Automotive|LeasePlan executives will be able to help students, through contact, so students will expand their knowledge and understand the operation and needs of a business.
Accordingly, professors of PMS-OES & doctoral and post-doctoral students of the iLEADS Lab will conduct training programs for the people of ALD Automotive|LeasePlan, while the collaboration will be displayed both nationally and internationally, as an example of partnership of an academic institution with businesses, through the organization of corporate events and training workshops.
The University of Piraeus and in particular the Master's Program "Economic and Business Strategy" stands out for the high number of graduates annually on a nationwide scale and their rapid absorption in the labour market. Its purpose is to prepare specialized and competent executives for employment in public and private sector bodies that will promote the development of Greek businesses and the Greek economy in general.
