The scientific conference on "The effective resolution of disputes by the Authority for the Examination of Preliminary Appeals (AEPP) and the contribution to the economic development of the country", which was co-organized by the Authority for the Examination of Preliminary Appeals (AEPP) and the University of Piraeus under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Republic Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, was held on February 8th and 9th.

The Authority for the Examination of Preliminary Appeals (AEPP), established in 2016, has as its task the resolution of disputes that arise during the stage preceding the conclusion of contracts for public works, supplies and services, after the lodge of a preliminary appeal. It is mandatory for economic entities that cooperate with public authorities to submit their appeal to the AEPP before resorting to the courts, which examines them and issues an opinion as an independent and impartial body.
