The Postgraduate Programme «e-Learning» of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, was honored with the GOLD AWARD in the category "Digital Education, Robotics and AI in Higher Education" during the Education Leaders Awards 2024 Ceremony which took place on Monday 1st of July 2024, at the National Insurance Conference Centre.
The «e-Learning» Postgraduate Programme was recognized of its 20-year contribution to the postgraduate education of university graduates and education professionals in the ever-evolving field of Digital Education, a field that has experienced rapid development in recent years with the expansion of the utilization of Digital Technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in Education and Vocational Training. The vision of the «e-Learning» Postgraduate Programme is to train the future leaders of the Digital Transformation of Education with the ultimate goal of high-quality, inclusive and accessible Digital Education for all.
The Director of the «e-Learning» Postgraduate Programme, Demetrios Sampson, Professor of the Department of Digital Systems, at the University of Piraeus received the award and dedicated it to the 500+ graduates and 100+ new students of the program.
The Education Leaders Awards 2024 were organized for the 9th consecutive year by Boussias events, aiming to highlight and reward educational units and activities, including the award of Educator of the Year, with the goal to upgrade the educational experience, both for students, as well as for teachers in the new digital age.
