The "Career Days 2024" event was completed with great success at the Themistoklian Complex of Nikaia of the University of Piraeus, on March 11th and 12th. Four hundred and twenty two (422) seniors, graduates and post-graduate students, had the opportunity to conduct multiple interviews in the same place, with 120 of the country's largest companies and institutions.
The University of Piraeus, organizes this event every year, aiming to facilitate the graduates of the undergraduate and postgraduate cycle to enter the labour market and to support their transition process from the academic to the professional arena. This way, they are given the opportunity to learn about developments in the labour market, to get to know companies in which they might want to work, to learn about the required recruitment procedures and finally gain an important practical experience, through their contact with the executives of the companies participating in the event.
The University of Piraeus, implementing one of the main objectives of strategic extroversion, puts into practice the interconnection of its graduates with the business world, aiming at a successful professional transition and absorption in the labour market, as the natural continuation of the academic excellence.
The mayor of Nikaia – Rentis, Konstantinos Maragakis, addressed the event, for its importance in today’s labour market and provided municipal buses especially for the transportation of the attendees to and from the Nikaia Metro station to the Themistoklian Complex.
