In the context of the outreach activities of the Master's Program "Economics and Business Strategy" of the University of Piraeus (https://msc-ebs.gr/), the Director of the PMS, Professor Yiannis A. Pollalis, with other professors and 30 postgraduate students, carried out an Educational Trip to Boston and New York, USA

The M.Sc. "Economics and Business Strategy" supports its graduate students with work opportunities in the global market, with training programs and educational tours in America and Europe by developing communication channels and an extensive network of contacts with internationally renowned academics and top business executives.

• Harvard University in Boston where a seminar was held by Professor Nikolas Prevelakis of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies of Harvard University on the subject of "European Politics"
• Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, where a 3-hour seminar on the Innovative Technologies developed at the Media Lab Research Laboratory, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was held by the professor and director of the laboratory, Michael Bletsa.
• Northeastern University in Boston, where a lecture was held by Professor Anna Lamin, Associate Professor of International Business and Strategy, on the subject of "Business Strategy". As part of the Visit, the students of our Master's Program had the opportunity to learn about the Academic Programs of Master's and Doctoral Studies and the research opportunities offered by Northeastern University by Professor Cunyet Eroglu, Associate Professor of Supply Chain and Information Group , and Professor Enio Velazco, Senior Lecturer of Supply Chain and Information Management.
• Suffolk University, Sawyer Business School in Boston, where lectures were held at Suffolk University by professors Alexandros P. Preza, Professor of Finance, and Carlos Ruffin, Professor of International Business and Public Service, and Professor Kim Wang, Professor of Strategy and International Business Department, on "Innovation Dynamics".
• Greek Consulate in Boston, where a welcome and speech was given by the Consul General of Greece in Boston, Symeon Tegos. As part of the visit to the Greek Consulate, the students of our Master's Program had the opportunity to attend a speech by professor and Director of the Label Free Research Group of MIT Andrea Mershin. There were also speeches by Spyros Turkakis, President at East Coast Seafood LLC, Emmanuel College professor Petros Vamvakas, as well as UMass Boston Assistant Professor Georgia Mavrommatis.
• Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center in Boston, where our students were given a tour of the library and the Innovation Center, as well as information on the action and ways to support new innovative ideas, job seekers, entrepreneurs, and non-profits organizations.
• Stavvy Company in Boston, a visit was made to one of the fastest growing start-up companies in Boston that focuses on Digital Mortgage Services, as well as the steps of developing a start-up company were presented by the founder and CEO of the company, Costa Ligri.

• Takeda Company, Pharmaceutical company in Boston, where a presentation and information about the company and its actions at the global level as well as possible career opportunities for the students of our Master's program was given by Ioannis Petrakis, Global Medical Unit Head, Gastroenterology Pipeline.
• Comcast- Freewheel Company in New York, where we visited one of the largest advertising companies worldwide and a presentation on Programmatic Advertising was held by Kathy Argyriou Kourteli, Head of Digital Publisher Sales.
The M.Sc. "Economics & Business Strategy" of the Department of Economics, is the first postgraduate program of the University of Piraeus that will proceed in collaborations with the above internationally recognized Universities.
