The Laboratory of Strategic Communication and Media, of the Department of International and European Studies of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies of the University of Piraeus organized the 8th Scientific Conference entitled "The Image of Greece in the aftermath of the crisis" New challenges / Innovative solutions on Tuesday 19 November in the conference room of the university, coordinated by Athanasios Samaras, Assistant Professor of the department.
ΤThe opening was greeted by Angelos Kotios, Rector of the University of Piraeus, Professor Michalis Sfakianakis, Dean of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies, and Maria Antoniadou, President of the Association of Editors of Athens Daily Newspapers. Athanasios Kyriazis, Secretary General of Research and Technology, Mary Vaxevanidou, Director of International Communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Yiannis Tsakiris, Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Public Investments and NSRF spoke on behalf of the state.
In the following sessions, academics and journalists analyzed Strategic Communication issues from different perspectives as communication, media, social media, persuasion processes, cultural diplomacy are a key parameter in the modern international economic and political environment.
