The first Mobility Group of Greek University Institutions within the framework of the Erasmus+/Higher Education program, "International Mobility between Program Countries and Partner Countries" was approved for funding, with the coordinator of the Group being the University of Piraeus and the participation of the National Technical University of Athens, University of Crete, University of Crete, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Democritus University of Thrace. Also participating as Social Partners are the NGO Earth Organization and the Youthmakers Hub.

The International Mobility consortium includes cooperating University Institutions and Companies from China, Israel, Kenya, Russian Federation, Uganda and the United States of America.
The main purpose of the Group is to ensure and promote Greek Higher Education to international partners and its goals are the Internationalization and Modernization of Greek HEIs, the high quality of learning outcomes and the increase of services offered to students, the promotion of the inclusion of vulnerable groups in HEIs, the cooperation with the labor market and the employment of young people and of course the promotion of the European Union and the opportunities it offers to HEIs of the partner countries as well as the promotion of the Bologna process in them, the introduction of a more comparable, compatible and coherent system for European higher education.
The program will last 24 months from August 1, 2019 to September 30, 2021.
