The University of Piraeus Library, in collaboration with the "Statistics and Evaluation" Department, organizes one of the Satellite meetings of Sections and Special Interest Groups prior to the 85th International Congress of Librarians' Associations and Institutes (IFLA) which this year is held in Athens.

The topic is "More Than Numbers: Implementing New Assessment Methods for Libraries" where speakers will share their knowledge, skills and experience in applying innovative assessment methodologies.
The Satellite meeting program consists of innovative qualitative and quantitative methodologies and is addressed to professionals as well as researchers, decision makers and ICTs, trainers and trainees, in organizations of all types of libraries, archives and museums.
The speakers are professors at University Colleges or working in major libraries in Spain, Germany, the USA, the Philippines, Romania, Canada, Norway, Singapore, India and Greece.
The keynote address of the meeting is «Project Outcome for Academic and Public Libraries: Outcome Measurement Made Easy» by Sara Goek, Mary Jane Petrowski, Emily Plagman, ACRL, Chicago, United States.
The Piraeus University Library actively participates in the 85th IFLA in the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) from 24th to 29th of August, with two presentations, a banner and participation in the library visits program.
