On October 24th, 2025, the University of Piraeus signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) in Vietnam, aiming to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education, research, and culture.
The Memorandum of Cooperation provides, among other things, for the exchange of students and teaching staff, the development of joint research programs in areas of mutual interest, the co-organization of conferences and academic events, the exchange of academic material, and the promotion of cultural exchanges between the two institutions.
The Rector of the University of Piraeus, Professor Michail Sfakianakis, stated: “The University of Piraeus continues steadily on its outward-looking path, building bridges of cooperation with leading international universities. The collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking strengthens our presence in Asia and opens new avenues in research, mobility, and innovation.”
For his part, the Rector of the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, Professor Nguyen Duc Trung, emphasized the importance of developing international partnerships that enhance the quality of educational and research activities.
The Memorandum of Cooperation marks the beginning of a fruitful and multidimensional collaboration between the two academic institutions.
