The official presentation of the 51st Annual Conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA 2025) took place within the framework of the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

The event highlighted the significance of the conference both for the Greek academic community and for the country’s business scene. The Vice-Chair of the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus and President of the EIBA 2025 Conference, Professor Konstantina Kottaridi, and Professor Dimitrios Kyrkilis, Chair of the Department of Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies co-presented the event.
Greece welcomes, for the first time in decades, the most important European conference on International Business. The 51st Annual Conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA 2025) will be held on December 11–13, 2025, at the emblematic Athens Concert Hall, under the theme: “The Myth of Harmony: Strategic Realities in International Business Practices.”
EIBA 2025 is expected to attract more than 700 participants from around the world, including professors and researchers from leading universities, business and organization representatives, as well as young scholars—the future leaders of international business. The conference will feature 515 scientific papers, a record number in EIBA’s history, along with 83 research proposals and 37 thematic panel discussions. Participants will also include representatives of international organizations such as the World Bank and UNCTAD. In parallel, specialized workshops will be held on scientific paper development and doctoral candidate mentoring.
Hosting the conference in Athens strengthens the country’s position as an international hub for dialogue and strategy, highlights the outward orientation of Greek universities and enterprises, and enhances the brand names “Athens” and “Greece” in the global academic and business community. The conference is co-organized by the University of Piraeus and the University of Macedonia, underscoring the dynamic collaboration between two of the country’s leading academic institutions.
